Overview:

The inspector will be primarily responsible for development of equipment inspection plans for turnaround and on-stream inspections, analysis of inspection data, reporting plant-wide inspection program status and coordination of inspection work with turnaround planning group prior to, and during, shutdowns. At other times, will be responsible for the inspection of various types of fixed equipment including, tanks, structural steel, heaters, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and piping. The inspector will document and report findings and develop recommendations.



Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute inspection plans for fixed equipment based on service, design, condition, jurisdictional requirements and inspection history.

• Review recommendations based on inspection findings, options and risk assessments with Management, Operations and Maintenance.

• Participate in root cause analysis.



Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will possess at least seven years of experience in a refinery inspection role. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong understanding of all applicable codes and must hold certifications in API 653, API 510, and API 570. 

Inspector candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products, mainframe systems, PacketPro, and Meridium.
